Over the past few years many interesting and unusual Fuchsias have emerged and this trend looks set to continue as even more of the species are used in hybridizing programmes.

If you are not familiar with this type of Fuchsia and are thinking of ordering, please be aware that many of them, because of their close relationship to the original species, will require frost protection during the winter and perhaps not necessarily perform as you might expect.  Some are easy to grow, some flower very well while others are sparse and a little more temperamental, but they all have their own special charm and if you like something a little different and challenging then give them a try!
